I’m 50, a wife, a mom, a dog mom, and someone who has lived enough life to know that none of us really have it all figured out.
I’ve been married, divorced, a single mom, remarried, changed directions, lost nearly 100 pounds, raised kids, worried about money, laughed at myself, started over more than once—and learned a whole lot along the way.
Shoes Off with KC grew out of all of that.
Why "Shoes Off"?
Because taking your shoes off means you’re staying awhile.
I wanted to create the kind of place where we don’t have to pretend everything is perfect. We can talk about the things we’re learning, share what actually works, laugh about the ridiculous parts of getting older, and maybe make life a little easier for each other.
Some days we’ll talk about money or technology. Other days it might be family, health, getting organized, trying something new, or simply remembering that life after 50 still has a whole lot left in it.
You’re Still Allowed. 💜
You’re still allowed to change your mind.
Start over.
Try something new.
Rest without feeling guilty.
Laugh too loudly.
Want more.
And become someone you didn’t expect to be.
There's no deadline for figuring yourself out.
Pull Up a Chair
If you’ve ever felt like everyone else got the instruction manual and somehow yours got lost in the mail, you’ll fit in just fine here. Take your shoes off. Grab your coffee. Stay awhile.
